Yam Caravanserai

Yam Caravanserai, located in a picturesque and delightful mountainous area with breathtaking views in the Mishow Marand region, is considered the largest caravanserai in the northwest of the country and one of the most important historical and tourist landmarks in Iran. This caravanserai is located 50 kilometers from the Tabriz to Marand transit road and is adjacent to the merchants road. The history of Yam Caravanserai dates back to the Mongol and Safavid periods, and after restoration, it is now one of the 999 caravanserais named after Shah Abbas, offering services and hospitality to domestic and international tourists. The caravanserai, with its central courtyard, is of the four-ayvan type, consisting of a high entrance, a dome chamber, a central courtyard in an octagonal shape, rooms, and ivans overlooking the courtyard for the caravans accommodation.
